upity

noun; derivation
It relates to something that has a “quality of being up or fluffy”. Upity is an example of a noun being derived from another noun “up” by adding the –ity suffix to the end which means “the quality of”. It's not a very formal sort of word. You probably wouldn't want to describe something as upity unless you were just talking with a group of friends and being informal.

My roommate had an aphro at the time and one of her friends commented, "You're hair is very upity."
Etymology : upity.comes from existing word up + -ity ending which means "quality of".
