Used to refer to the U.S or an African American. It is used by Africans to describe African Americans as a result of some obvious differences between the black cultures. It is sometimes used to describe an Americanized Nigerian, or a Nigerian who has lived in the U.S for a long period of time and has probably developed an American accent and may be even unfamiliar with his or her African culture.
Etymology : Of Yoruba origin, a language spoken in Western Nigeria.
