spork

noun; blending
spoonlike utensil with small prongs on its end most commonly found in a plastic version at fast food restaurants most likely used to describe the dual function utensil that combines the function of a spoon and a fork that was probably developed in order to provide a more cost efficient utensil option to fast food organizations. “Spork” may have been chosen instead of “foon” for this particular product because it sounds more effective in its general use, whereas “foon” sounds as if it would be clumsier. Also, “spork” is more fun to say.

Sporks are great for off campus life. It means there are fewer dishes to wash.
