Peppier

noun;
The employee at fine restaurants whose job description entail, in part or in full, the grating of fresh pepper over salads and entrees via an extra-long, restaurant-issued pepper mill Origin: A throwback to the development of “haute English” in that is it a term to describe a generally aristocratic or high-society practice, which resembles French in its formation. Source: This word is a domologism6 from a family that is not my own. A friend of mine has used this term amongst family members for a number of years, and explained it to me at a dinner we attended together. He used the term as illustrated in the example, and I had to ask exactly what he meant by it.

Yes, the individual pepper grinders [on the table] are cool and all, but they completely eliminate the need for a peppier and that’s sad.
