Pimp
adjective; derivation
A descriptive quality of an object (usually a piece of clothing or personal accessory such as a hat, a jacket, a piece of jewelry or a car) that is suave and stylish while being mildly ostentatious. Origin: The word literally comes from “something relating to or which may be associated with the image of pimp.” Source: I’ve heard the word used in informal language since coming to Rice. It seems to be a regional term that hasn’t moved to the Midwest yet.
