writeo

noun; analogy
a misspelling in handwriting. With the increased use of computers, errors in spelling are usually referred to as “typos.” Likewise, one may make the analogy that an error from writing by hand is a “writeo.” Just as “typo” refers to a typographical error, “writeo” may refer to a spelling error by hand. Both are small terms.

When a professor made an error in writing an explanation, she declared that she made a writeo.
Etymology : writeo. Analogy of ‘write’: 'write'(to spell) and ‘o’ (suffix denoting an error)
