- Couldn't the time scheme just be random, to save the film from millennial purist nitpickers?
Millennial purist
noun; compounding
A person who insists that the millennium began on January 1, 2001 This term was assumedly coined with the coming of the second millennium in 2000, but many people believed that the true millennium was the year 2001. The reasoning is that there was no year 0. Hence, millennial purists, similar to grammatical purists, were the result. Millennial purist has reached virtually all speech communities because of everybody’s connection to celebrating New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
