out

verb; clipping
to accuse or expose a person. This word may have been used because the word expose didn’t immediately come to mind. Also it sounds more like something has really happened, that all is in black and white, and all that needed to be done was to expose the person.

Outing him doesn’t do any good when there’s so much grey area.
Etymology : out. Clipping of 'to call out' (expose; accuse)
