winding

verb; derivation
To blow wind. I chose the word because English has no good way to say such a thing. “It’s raining; it’s snowing” sound natural. Why not “it’s winding”? analogy; winding, verb present participle

Can I leave yet?” to which I replied, “Nope, it’s winding pretty bad.
Etymology : Derivation of form of verb “wind” + -ing, present participle suffix.
