Webonics

noun; compounding
: A type of language used by internet savvy gamers and programmers during online game play as well as in weblogs and forums. Similar to Leet, or 1337. Webonics is a relative of the computer elite language, leet speak, or 1337. It used common street slang applied to the 1337 practice of replacing letters with similar looking numbers. It can often be found during online game play or perhaps even in weblogs and chat rooms.
 
That guy was getting on my nerves, so I went off on him in webonics.
