Yus

noun; acronym
Young Urban Scientist, specifically any scientist active in a social culture counter to that of the established scientific community This word was coined as an insult, and created in order to provide humor, but also relates to many other insults, especially those for ethnic groups. Often, the full name of the group to be insulted is shortened (i.e. 'jew' or 'jap') in order to make it easier to say and more biting. In this case, rather than shorten the full name of the group, an acronym was created, as it would be easier to say. When Mr. Larson coined this word, I do not think he meant it to enter mainstream society, but it is an interesting way of pointing out a specific person who differs or counters the established society (in this case, scientists). This word is even more interesting because it singles out a member of a group for doing something unrelated to what the group is normally thought of as doing (in this case, the scientist is singled out for his social actions rather than his scientific work).
