- We’re gonna get plowed!
Plowed
adjective;
incredibly intoxicated due to alcohol consumption. The speaker was not actually intent on getting drunk at pub night (or even attending for that matter) and was joking around about it. Thus, I think the word plowed was used for comic effect. Although this is the first time I had heard the word used in this context, it could come into use as a regular slang word for drunkenness like the other metaphors “trashed” and “throwed.”
Etymology : metaphor- perhaps plowing is representative of what it feels like to be intoxicated (i.e., messed up) Note: the drunk person is the thing being plowed and not the plower.
