Whatev

220; clipping
Used simply to end discussion on a topic. It doesn’t matter, never mind, etc… This is a similar word to “Def” in that it is formed by clipping a word merely to make it short and easier to say. The meaning of whatev is identical to its larger counterpart, whatever. It was most likely coined as a way of being different while producing a word that is easier to say.

Whatev, you know. It’s not that big a deal.
Etymology : Whatev – Clipping of English whatever, from compound what + ever
