a mixture of Coca-Cola and Diet Coke [mix + Coke] Interpretation of intended meaning a fountain beverage consisting of a blend of Coca-ColaTM and Diet CokeTM Presumed reason for coinage Much briefer way of denoting 'a mixture of Coke and Diet Coke.'
 
I compromise on the taste-calorie thing by drinking mixcoke at lunch.
Etymology : mix native verb + Coke brand name derived from Coca-Cola, in turn derived from coca meaning coca leaf product or cocaine, an ingredient in early Coca-Cola formulas
