kayes

verb; acronym
derived from the scorer’s abbreviation ‘K’ meaning strikeout. Means to strike out in the game of baseball. Also spelled as K’s. In baseball the letter ‘K’ is the scorer’s symbol for a strikeout, presumably an acronym derived from the ‘K’ in striKeout. The term K’s or Kayes, is a word that is formed when the acronym was pronounced as a word and not as just the letter ‘K’.
