Kinase

noun;
Any substance or enzyme that catalyzes the addition of a phosphate group (made up of a phosphate atom and multiple oxygen atoms) onto a molecule.
 
The protein kinase then modifies the molecule further by adding an inorganic phosphate group.
Etymology : Gk. kinetikos ‘of motion’ + French (diast)-ase ‘enzyme, destroying substance’
