Tube

verb; zero derivation
To place a breathing tube into the trachea. Apparent meaning: To place an endotracheal tube (or breathing tube) into the trachea of a patient in order to ensure proper ventilation of someone who cannot get enough oxygen without assistance. Type of word formation: Zero derivation of the noun ‘tube’. Possible reason used: Over time the process of placement of the endotracheal tube was shortened to just being called to “tube” the patient.

I can’t believe he TUBED two people and I have never even seen someone tubed in the field.
Etymology : [Zero derivation of the noun ‘tube’].
