drunkdial

verb; compounding
To make a telephone call while under the influence of alcohol. It seems to carry with it the idea that whatever conversation may be had while on this “drunkdial” will result in regret for the dialer the next day (that probably would not be the only thing There seems to be a pandemic amongst people of college and some of high school age in which they make phone calls while drunk, to people they would not normally talk to while sober (mostly for good reason), or at least would not call at a particular time of night (such as their parents) and they end up making fools of themselves, saying fatuous utterances that they may not mean, ultimately damaging relationships in some cases. The prevalence of this type of phone call begged for its own descriptive word, and now it has it.

I really wish I hadn’t drunkdialed my girlfriend last night, because now, she’s not my girlfriend anymore.
