The addiction to the buying and reading of books Reason used: The word was used to describe a love of books so great that it could be seen as an addiction. The word conveys roughly the same thing as “bibliophilism” but in a more humorous way that portrays this love of books as more of a frenzied obsession than a mere hobby.
