Make Groceries

verb; derivation
To obtain and purchase products from a grocery store. Seems to mean collecting and purchasing of food products. There is probably a strong regional influence of the phrase that initially sounds funny to people from a different place. 'Making' could possibly mean 'having', as in 'making love' being equivalent to 'having sex'. 'Having' is the outcome of the act of going to the grocery.

I'm going to make groceries
