Having a foul or offensive smell or aroma; showing disgust at some action, person, or event. Rank has been used to describe the smell of rotten food but also can be used in describing disgusting actions or people ( as in “ That is so rank!) It stems from the word rank, meaning foul smell, but in this example is used as slang.
