unibrow

noun; derivation
Eyebrows which are connected, thus giving the appearance of a single eyebrow. In the movie Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, one character was named ‘Unibrow’ for obvious reasons; ‘unibrow’ refers to eyebrows which are thick and connected across the forehead, thus giving the appearance of having one eyebrow. Thus, the word ‘unibrow’ was formed to mock or talk about connected eyebrows, which are usually considered highly unattractive. The word was formed by adding the derivational suffix “uni-” (‘one’) to “brow,” which is another form of 'eyebrow.' Hence, "unibrow" has compositional meaning: ‘one eyebrow.’ This word is formed in a manner similar to words for other nouns, such as "unicycle" meaning ‘one wheel’ or "unicorn" meaning ‘one horn.’

Pluck your eyebrows; you have a unibrow.
Etymology : Latin uni 'one' + Old English brow.
