Shanked

verb;
the condition of having another person cancel plans on a last minute basis. apparent meaning: to blow somebody off, to break set plans reason used: This word is the byproduct of intoxication and imagination. It may have been derived from shaken off.
 
My friend received a phone call from her roommate saying that the friend should go to the party without her. After getting off the phone with the roommate, my friend stated that she had been shanked.
Etymology : Formed from a new creation word + -ed(past tense suffix).
