Chaffage

noun;
a skin condition created by the continuous rubbing of a material on one’s skin, usu. found on the upper leg.[ apparent meaning: places were the skin chaffed reason used: She used this word instead of chaffing, because it sounded like surfer jargon due to the –age suffix. She wanted to use such jargon because that group of people is stereotypically more laid back, and she wanted in to convey that she was okay with her ailment.
 
When my roommate was recounting the events of last weekend, she noted that she had severe chaffage after an 18-mile run. apparent meaning: places were the skin chaffed
Etymology : Formed from a known verb ‘chaff’ + plus the noun forming suffix –age, “condition, collection”]
