lamesauce

adjective; compounding
A word used to describe something that is undesirable, uninspiring, and dull.

"Whole Foods ran out of organic hummus." "Lamesauce."
Etymology : Compound of the words lame, using the less traditional meaning of being bland or boring, and the word sauce, meaning something that adds zest or piquancy. In this case, the sauce is adding zest to the term itself and not to the object the term is being used to describe.
