SoHo

A person, typically a woman, who lives south of Houston St. in New York and is considered particularly promiscuous. To differentiate between this and the more common use for the term SoHo (anywhere south of Houston St. in Manhattan), emphasis is placed on the Ho portion of the word.
Etymology : Clipping and compounding: from South of Houston and ho, originally the spelling of a dialectic pronunciation of whore.
