- This word was humorously coined by an excited employee who chose a site for his wedding. This most probably occurred since there is no commonly used words to describe people with such an occupation. Simply adding the affix –ist makes the word tent into “one who” designs them. This pattern can be seen in words like florist (one who decorates flowers) and artist (one who makes artist).
