mos def

adverb; clipping
slang phrase meaning most definitely; undoubtedly; most definitely is a repetitive alteration of the word definitely since it has the same meaning

This term is used by people to express that something will undoubtedly happen. The phrase most definitely was derived from the word definitely in order to emphasize the surety of a situation. Since this phrase became so popular, the user probably wanted to shorten it from a polysyllabic word to a disyllabic word in order to improve its ease of use, so mos def was coined
Etymology : phrase formed by the clipping of the 't' in the root word most + clipping of '-initely' in the word definitely
