shard

verb; zero derivation
to inadvertently expel fecal matter as a result of the passage of gas

"When I was 8 years old I sharded on the stage in my school's Christmas musical."
Etymology : Originally a noun from the Old English "sceard" meaning "fragment." In this fecal context, it is likely a metaphor since the small pieces of excrement apparently resemble small fragments of material. The word underwent zero derivation to become a verb, but it can still refer to the original noun.
