prowebstinate

verb; blending
To spend time browsing the internet as a way of avoiding obligations, often in an unproductive manner.

Used primarily by students who choose to read articles or view videos on the internet when they have been assigned classwork which is due in the near future. Often carries a connotation of regret.
Etymology : A blending of 'web', from 'World Wide Web' referring to the internet, and 'procrastinate', from Latin 'pro-' meaning forward, 'cras' meaning tomorrow, and the verb-forming suffix '-ate'. One who performs the action is procrastinating by putting off his or her obligations until some other time (such as tomorrow) and using the web to facilitate such procrastination.
