F-bookin, v. comes from the word facebooking, which means to browse facebook, the universal online social network. Facebook allows users to browse profiles, photos and friends with no real purpose or goal in mind and involves sifting through random, mindless facebook applications, videos, photos, and messages.
 
It is used online and also in conversation by facebook users, it means to look over other peoples profiles and pictures in-depth. It has a negative connotation, because the term implies something dirty, as f-bookin often involves looking over revealing photos and sharing scandalous secrets through messages and wall posts.
Etymology : F-bookin is a clipping from the word facebooking, facebooking comes from the word facebook which is a online social network, which allows all users to join groups, social networks, make friends, and also browse other peoples photos and posts. Facebooking is the actual action of looking over other peoples profiles and photos and it has been clipped down to f-bookin. Facebook is a blending of the words face and book, it was originally created for university students to make friends and get to know each other at their perspective university but it has grown in popularity and become more widespread. Face comes from Old French, face or visage which comes from the latin word facia and means the facial appearance of a person. Book comes from Old English 'bokiz' or beech, which refers to beechwood tablets which were once used for the transcription of runes.
