Its used mainly by University students and described girls who became very sick and upset at the same time. The girl has normally consumed a large amount of alcohol and is considered very drunk, and has also just experienced something very traumatic and upsetting. A hurtful event that would cause someone to cry when they are drunk. The person usually ends up sobbing over a toilet.

Sobetting, v. is a blending of the words sobbing and vomiting. It is the action that can follow after a heavy night of drinking in which something traumatic or unsettling occurs. The person is usually very intoxicated and upset and this results in not only tears but vomiting as well.
Etymology : Sobetting is a blending of the words sobbing and vomiting. Sobbing is a verb that comes from the word sob, which comes from the Old English word 'seofian' and was first recorded in 1200, it means to lament or express sorrow. Sob still means to express sorrow but it refers to the weeping action and the loss of breath. To sob is to make a wheezing, crying noise. Vomiting comes from the word vomit, which comes from the latin word 'vomitaire'. It means to expel all of the contents of the stomach through the mouth, and vomit still continues to mean the same thing.
