Tar-zhay

proper noun; other word formation type phonetic transcription
an alternative way to pronounce the retail store Target, making it acceptable to high-income consumers

This pronunciation of Target© is used to elevate it to a more up-scale status. Although Target is grouped along with other large chain discount stores such as Wal-Mart, it has recently began to redesign its concept to market for higher-income consumers. This is evident in their more recent brand "GO International" where designers more well known for their high-end collections are invited to create a more affordable line for Target. The phonetic spelling allows it to be delineated when written in English.
Etymology :
Target is a large retail chain store, the pronunciation makes the word more French-sounding. This makes the store seem more exotic and disconnects it from the large chain store that it truly is.
