- The term is used to poke fun at any pair of bottoms that fit too tightly on men, including speedos especially. More recently, it has come to especially represent skinny jeans worn by men. Rather than calling them 'skinny jeans', nut huggers is used to emasculate the wearer because these pants tend to look like they're made for women. Though some men actually do wear women's pants, there are pants of the same fit made for men as well. The bottoms are so tight, they conform to every curve of the male body--especially the crotch area.
