Yoked

zero derivation; adjective
Describing one who is very large and muscular. Especially when referring to the upper body.
 
This word refers to the term used to mean a team of oxen. Since oxen are known to be strong beasts of burden, when the term is applied to humans it makes them seem extremely strong. It is a metaphor for a person who is "as strong as an ox."
Etymology : "Yoked" comes from the english term meaning a team of oxen which is from the middle english "yok" which is from the old english "geoc".
