wiimote

blending; noun
a remote controller used to play games on the Nintendo Wii console

Wiimote is blending of Wii and remote. It works well as a blend because the ii in Wii and the e in remote have the same sounds. Also, w and r are similar sounding letters because they are both approximant. The term is generally used when talking about the whereabouts of this easily lost game accessory. The speaker coined the term because Wii remote is difficult to say and Wiimote flows much more easily because of the lack of the repeated sound. This term is associated with people who play the Nintendo Wii. It is starting to spread fairly rapidly because of how much easier it is to say than Wii remote.
Etymology : Wii: newest Nintendo gaming console that may actually require physical effort from the person playing it Remote: clipping of remote control
