people I think that the rapper Biggie Smalls created this word because it clearly stresses the meaning of people(s), while using only one syllable instead of two. He has a very fast style of singing so being able to cut down on syllables while stressing the same meaning is very important. Also, like most rappers he is trying to create a new word that everyone will use and that will get his name mentioned among people which could lead to bigger and better record sales and just popularity in general.
