humpy

adjective;
in cowboy jargon, referring to an unbroken horse that is probably going to buck when someone gets on him This is a word that the cowboys on the ranch where I am from used to refer to a horse they thought would buck when they got on. They say this because when a horse is mad or wants to buck he will hunch up his back and shoulders which makes the saddle ‘hump’ up and stand up from the horse’s back.

That young colt was sure humpy this morning.
