Zoology

derivation; noun
An intent of drinking extensively in college. An intent of starting many zoos.

This term is most appropriate to use while one is in college because of its being a homonym with 'zoology' meaning the study of animals. It was most likely formed as a derivative of (and thus being coined after) the neologism 'to zoo.' It is a shibboleth in that some people may (understandably) think the speaker is seeking a degree in zoology, when in reality, that is not the case at all. However, that is probably not its primary purpose. It is most likely a joke between people who already know what it means and a way of expressing it openly without directly referencing heavy drinking in case the speaker wishes to be secretive for whatever reason.
Etymology : A derivative of 'to zoo' referring to drinking (also entered in neologism dictionary) formed by adding 'log' from Greek meaning 'study' and the noun forming suffix '-y' from Greek and Latin to the end.
