Broseph Goebbels

proper noun; blending
A guy’s best guy friend

People who say this are generally the kind of people who say “bro” a lot anyway, but this is a newer and cooler way of labeling your best guy friends. People say it seriously about as often as they say it to make a joke. This word joins the slew of popular “bro” inspired words like broski, bromosexual, brohan, brosicle, and bromance. Broseph Goebbels started off as simply “broseph,” a term of endearment between two male friends. “Broseph Goebbels” is a play on the name Joseph Goebbels, Adolph Hitler’s right hand man. The term originated in the 2009 movie “I Love You, Man,” a flick about a guy who has no guy friends and his search to find true bromance.
Etymology : “Broseph Goebbels” which is a blending of “Brother” and “Joseph Goebbels,” Hitlers BFF
