no homo

adjective clipping
used to specify that whatever was just said was not meant to be taken in a homosexual way. It is an clipping of the phrase "no homosexuality". A speaker could add it on to the end of a sentence whenever the sentence could be interpreted as meaning something homosexual, but that meaning was not intended. Often this is said as a joke when the statement it is attached to is blatantly homosexual.

I told my roommate that she looked really hot in that dress, no homo.
Etymology : abbreviation of "no homosexuality". Homosexuality- homo + sexuality- from Greek "homos" (same) + from Latin "sexus" (state of being either male or female)
