failcake

When a person has a particularly inspired moment of epic fail, they get served an imaginary slice of failcake. “Failcakes” may be used as a declaration of disappointment.
 
That attempt at a birthday cake was a literal failcake.
Etymology : Fail+cake: ‘Fail’ from the Old French faillir, meaning to be wanting, miss. ‘Cake’ from the Old Norse kaka. (OED)
