brosef

another term for bro (a clipping for brother as in a brother from a fraternity) that is often used by males as a friendly nick name for other males
 
“Hey brosef, what’s up?”
Etymology : This seems to be a lengthening of “bro”. It seems to be an expansion parallel to the name Joe, which is short of Joseph. As one self-proclaimed bro and ardent user of the neologism stated, “Joe is short for Joseph, so why wouldn’t bro be short for brosef?”
