Ableism

derivation; noun
discrimination because of physical or mental disability

I've been dealing with ableism my whole life because I was born blind.
Etymology : Probably a derivation of the adjective able with the noun-forming suffix -ism, in the manner of racism and sexism. However, race and sex were both nouns to begin with. Ableism might be used because the true correspondent, abilitism, is not as easy to say as ableism.
