Sparklepire

noun; blending
A word used to describe a vampire from the book series Twilight written by Stephanie Meyer. These vampires are different from what is considered the normal vampire mythology, as when they enter direct sunlight, their skin “sparkle[s], like thousands of tiny diamonds [are] embedded in the surface” (Meyer, Stephanie. Twilight). Usually used by people who enjoy laughing at Twilight.

Those Twilight Sparklepires drive me nuts.
Etymology : Sparkle+Vampire: ‘Sparkle’ is from the Old English verb spærca. ‘Vampire’ is from vampir, a word of Slavonic origin. (OED)
