CCFCCP

adjective; acronym initialism
‘Cuckoo for coa-coa puffs’; crazy, mentally unsound in dramatic and vividly apparent ways. The initialism is formed from the phrase “Cuckoo for cocoa puffs”, although with a common misspelling inserted (the k in cuckoo is generally taken to be a c). The phrase comes from a common slogan for Cocoa Puffs, a brand of chocolate cereal made by General Mills. The slogan is used in commercials where their mascot cuckoo bird attempts to do normal tasks, but finds he has a sudden irrational craving for the cereal causing him to hallucinate and seek out the nearest cereal. The phrase and subsequent intialism were probably adopted into informal emergency medicine as a metaphor for the differing varieties of irrational and erratic behavior these health care providers see.
