Crack-berry

noun; blending
A BlackBerry phone that to which the user has almost become addicted;sarcastic reference to the addictive nature of Blackberry phones This is blend of crack and BlackBerry attempts to metaphorically insert the highly addictive nature of crack cocaine into the regular use of a Blackberry smartphone to stay in touch with people or simply the internet. The term crack is a shortening of the phrase crack cocaine, referring to the illegal drug obtained from coca leaves that is highly addictive to which users quickly build up a tolerance. The use of the blunt sounding word crack in the blend was likely chosen also to bring with it the negative connotations society shows to drug users.
