uh-oh oreo
noun; compounding
A white person that is said to behave or exhibit the supposed mannerisms of an African American. This can be simply adhering to the popularities of African American or Black culture.
Etymology : The word comes from compounding the terms uh-oh, an exclamation used to display the occurrence of mistake, and Oreo, a famous brand of sandwich cookies made up of chocolate outer and white icing inner filing. The term is a metaphorical extension of the term given to a special edition Oreo cookie that was made up of regular vanilla cookies with chocolate icing between them. The cookie, made in a manner directly opposite to what was conventional of the brand, was marketed and titled under the guise of being a mistake gone delicious. The term oreo has previously been a metaphor to refer to a person of African descent who is characterized by displaying an adherence exclusively to White popular culture. Likewise, the term uh-oh oreo was coined to refer to the exact opposite situation. The term can be derogatory but not always.
