Microcharging

derivation noun
Defensive strategy in ultimate frisbee: controlling the movement of the offensive player one is marking by strategically positioning one's body so that the player has limited options of where to run. Based on the idea that an offensive player won't run straight through a defensive one (which would be a foul) and that by being positioned close to the offensive player and in the throwing lane, the defensive player can neutralise the offensive one.

“Microcharging only really works if you are extremely close to your girl.”
Etymology : Addition of the prefix 'mirco' to the verb 'charging', which is descriptive of the movements involved in the play. From Greek mikros "small" and O.Fr. chargier "to load, burden," from L.L. carricare "to load a wagon, cart," from L. carrus "wagon" (Etymonline)
