Roflcopter

noun; blending
A form of “chatspeak” and is used as a response to a very funny joke. It shows an extreme laughing fit, one so bad that the chatter is on the floor spinning like a helicopter. While this does not need to be taken in the literal sense, it is used in hyperbole, to show that something is so funny one could possibly roll on the floor like a helicopter.

“Orange you glad I didn’t say banana?!?” “hahahaha roflcopter!”
Etymology : blending and acronym. Rofl an acronym for “rolling on the floor laughing” + clipped version of helicopter, copter.
Source : Seen in chatting conversations starting in late 2009.
